Thanks! and totally saved. How long did that take to draw? Feel like drawing anymore? It was fast, I took less than 20 minutes, something really fast and sketchy, just to illustrate the post. Yeah, I plan to draw more, also I still have a sketch of a comic with Rainbow Dash, someday I will do it. But about the private hosting idea... where are the administrators when we need them?

For a tiny forum like PSF, I'd suggest just a DigitalOcean $5/mo VM: www.digitalocean.com/pricing/As with any solution, you'd want to stress test it, but if a cheap independent host is wanted, I think that would be the ticket. It's only 512MB RAM and 20GB disk, but I'd be shocked to find PSF consuming even a fraction of that. At that price it also handily beats out "shared hosting" providers, imo. Digital ocean's Terms of Service wrt Le Pron prohibits that which: /Every/ host includes "sole discretion" clauses, so I read this as "no child abuse". So PSF would be well in the clear. (Well, as long as no prepubescents feature in anything "explicit" that members might post. I rather hope they wouldn't /anyway/, but it would be sensible to post a rule forbidding it, so that members and host staff alike could be pointed to it in case of an incident.) One possible issue is that DigitalOcean assumes a user base of developers and sysadmins, so they just give you the bare Linux VM. There's no DirectAdmin or ControlPanel or whatever (though they do maintain an excellent online "library" of sysadmin guides and how-to's). Grizzled old grumps like myself consider this a virtue, but I imagine it could be a steep learning curve for the uninitiated. I'd be happy to assist, though I dare say the admins already have plenty of eager chefs running towards the broth. I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

That drawing is so good! It took you less than 20 minutes? OMG, you are an amzing artist! I couldn't have drawn something like that it 20 years!

Wow! yasl you seem really well informed in this stuff! I'm sure with you and bluebeta and whoever else steps up can help us create a site that'll be safe from deletion. I know you said this in your other post, but it ProBoards could give us even that much I'd be soo happy.

Well, I guess no one needs me anymore. Oh dear, I didn't mean to sound like I was dismissing the option of using your server (that's hardly my decision anyway!). I was just providing an alternative to the $25/month or $50/month server option, if the admins choose to run their own machine.

Well, I guess no one needs me anymore. Not true. Your idea is a great one. As is the alternative. You two could put your heads together and create something incredible if you felt up to it.
